# Getting Started

Toros provides automated, tokenized strategies as [ERC-20](/resources/glossary.md#erc-20) tokens. Each token runs its strategy onchain (leverage, options, spot exposure, or a thematic basket), so you hold a single token instead of managing positions yourself.

This guide covers what you need, how to pick a product, and how to make your first trade.

## What You Need

* A Web3 wallet (such as Rabby)
* Funds on a supported chain: Arbitrum, Ethereum, or HyperEVM

There is no account or signup. Connect your wallet at [toros.finance](https://toros.finance) to browse and trade.

## Make Your First Trade

1. Connect your wallet at [toros.finance](https://toros.finance) and switch to a supported chain.
2. Pick a product and open its page.
3. Choose what to pay with. Paying with the vault's **deposit asset** incurs zero slippage; any other token is automatically swapped first. See [Buying](/trading/buying.md).
4. Confirm the transaction in your wallet. You receive the product's ERC-20 token.

To exit, sell the token back into your chosen asset; see [Selling](/trading/selling.md).

## Before You Start

* **Fees**: Every buy and sell charges a trading fee, and rates vary by product. See [Fees](/trading/fees.md).
* **Leveraged tokens are not buy-and-hold**: They are built for short- to medium-term directional views. In sideways or choppy markets, [volatility decay](/leveraged-tokens/volatility-decay.md) erodes value over time.
* **Index Strategies follow market hours**: They hold tokenized equities, so trading can pause outside market sessions, and they are not available in all regions.
* **Non-custodial**: You hold the tokens; strategies run through audited smart contracts. See [Security & Audits](/resources/security.md).
